In US, Nexus 7 costs about $199, and iPad Mini costs $329, that’s roughly 60% difference.
But in Malaysia, Nexus 7 costs about RM899 (originally RM999) and iPad Mini costs RM999. That’s just a little 10% difference.
The difference in terms of difference of pricing of both tabs between Malaysia and US is just, too damn obvious. Nexus 7 lost its unfair advantage of being cheap here.
See, both devices cost roughly the same, pricing is no longer really a factor of choosing one device over another. It’s now boil down to its operating system, Android vs iOS.
Now, for those petty discussions on which one is cheaper over the other, stop it. It is a matter of taste, that’s it. You love iOS? Get the Mini. Love Android? Get Nexus. Done!
But since there is little price difference, I think I will just go for iPad Mini, I invested too much on iOS ecosystem already, and I hate the messy ecosystem of Android.
Now where is miniature Windows tablet?
